The Kompanyia Lliure looks at the Spanish Golden Age with the help of Rosa Maria Sardà and the collaboration of the Classical Theatre's National New Company. Together, they tackle the more lyrical side of Lope de Vega, directed by Lluís Pasqual.
"When I read it again, when I gave it other faces and other voices, even deeper than the metaphor, I heard the most elegant and poignant lyrics in the great poem of broken love, a love that shifts from darkness to light, from the happiness of fulfilment to the pain of absence. In difficult and tense times, times that allow some men to govern the lives of others, with the impunity that they possess due to being a reflection of how the world's powerful people behave every day."
