Jornades joves de creació artística - teatre
The VIII Youth Theatre Day Sessions were scheduled to take place at the Teatre Lliure on the 27 and 28 of May. This is an initiative by the Barcelona Municipal Institute of Education (IMEB), which for the last eight years has been organised in partnership with the Teatre Lliure.
The pandemic has led to its performances being postponed, but the students at the Barcelona secondary schools of Les Corts, Barri Besòs, Salvat Papasseit, Montserrat, Vall d’Hebron, Costa i Llobera, Quatre Cantons, Icària, Flos i Calcat, Jaume Balmes, Menéndez y Pelayo and Doctor Puigvert, who have been involved since the beginning of the academic year, have not stopped the project.
On 4 June, they will be presenting a video on the process involved in preparing for the Youth Theatre Day Sessions throughout the school year, with a collection of images of the work done by the various groups until the lockdown, and of the continuation of that work that many of them are doing on a virtual basis.
