ATTENTION
Faced with the measures adopted in the crisis of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 on closing borders from Portugal to Spain on 15 days, the Teatre Lliure is forced to temporaly suspend the performances of this show.
The Lliure has the will to reschedule the Portuguese show when the health situation in the country allows it, despite not having yet specific dates.

This is the story of a peculiar family: all of its members are devoted to killing fascists. It is a tradition that dates back more than 70 years. Today they have gathered to celebrate that young Catarina is going to carry the baton forward by assassinating Judge Neto de Moura, a sexist who has been publicly denounced by the feminist movement. But what will Catarina do in the moment of truth?

Director Tiago Rodrigues has based it on the real-life case of Catarina Eufémia, a peasant woman who was killed in 1954 for calling for employment rights (a murder that was never brought to trial) and is a symbol of antifascist resistance and the emancipation of women in Portugal. It raises various questions about violence: can it be legitimate? Is the violence against women by historical fascism any different from modern-day sexism violence? In short, is there a place for violence in the struggle for a better world?
